How it works
The Fraxel Dual Laser system targets aging and sun-damaged skin with two microscopic laser columns in one applicator: 1927 nm wavelength and 1550 nm wavelength.
The 1927 nm wavelength laser treats specific sun-damaged/pigmented concerns on the skin. The 1927 wavelength targets water that is at the depth of the skin where the pigment is, causing the pigment to coagulate and exfoliate off your skin. The laser treats lentigos, solar lentigos, melasma, excess brown pigment, freckles, and pre-cancer known as actinic keratoses.
The 1550 nm wavelength laser penetrates more deeply into the skin, improving facial wrinkles, skin laxity and causing skin tightening. This new collagen production ultimately improves the appearance of brown spots, sun spots, freckles, and is also effective against actinic keratosis.
What to expect
A topical numbing cream is applied 30-45 minutes prior to treatment with our precise dual lasers, which can be used on essentially any part of the body. Because the laser only treats a fraction of a tissue at a time, the surrounding tissues remain intact which promotes rapid healing.
